    Wen haikun(engineer of NIAOT) left for Antarctic Scientific Expedition

       On 11 November 2010, Wen haikun(engineer of NIAOT) left for Antarctic Scientific Expedition from Shengzheng by icebreaker Snow Dragon。

    Wen haikun’s main task listed as followers:

    1):install dim self-made by NIAOT and conduct in-site surveying。The instrument has been finished trial observation in National Astronomical Observatory and low temperature testing for its key component。

    2):maintain Cstar which has been run for three years and PLATO。Observing data by Cstar will be brought back。

    3):install power supply and communication supporting platform system built by Southeast University as well as Purple Mountain Observatory。Supporting platform system has been transported to Yangbajing in Tibet Plateau for Synthetic Test before transportation for Dome A。

    4):pave the way of ground for AST3(three Antarctic Schmidt Telescopes)
