On April 8 2009，first Key laboratory of CAS in NIAOT was inaugurated and first academic meeting was held。

　 On the meeting professor Zhu Yongtian (director of key lab)gave a lecture about recent research emphases and future development for the key lab.

　 Specialists discuss the report gaved by professor Zhu and gave many advices。They think important progress has been made by the lab on active optics，astronomical mirror technology with large aperture and high accuracy,research for Antarctic telescope，extremely larger visible/infrared telescope with aperture of 30m~100m.
