      On December 30 2004,Key technology pre-research for lamost---“active optics experimental telescope facility” undertaken by NIAOT was checked and accepted in Nanjing。

      All specialists of the appraisal committee agreed on that it is first reflecting Schmidt telescope adopting active optics technology with 1.1m Schmidt corrector in the world。

       Under condition of 1.3~3.3 arcseconds seeing and self-collimation close-loop correcting,the experimental facility can concentrate 80% encircled energy within circle with diameter of 0.39~0.94 arcseconds。Under condition of approximately 2 arcseconds seeing and open-loop tracking,it can concentrate 80% encircled energy within circle with diameter of 1.6 arcseconds (within 2~4 hours)。

      It use active optics open-loop technology to successfully make hexagonal thin plane mirror produce tilted-axis aspherical surface for compensation of optical system errors。That is one of key technology for reflecting Schmidt telescope with large aperture and large field of view。
