Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics and Technology has accomplished the development of a 2.5-meter precision ranging astronomical telescope.

Precision calibration and preliminary acceptance of the instrument were finalized in 2025. Site testing and technical validation were completed in February, 2026. Contractual acceptance was formally granted on April 11, 2026 following comprehensive verification of structural specifications.

This 2.5-meter precision ranging astronomical telescope has demonstrated exceptional stellar image quality during operational validation. Its performance surpasses the pre-specified design requirements.

Pointing and tracking accuracy proves equivalent to that of mainstream large-scale optical telescopes globally. The overall technical capability attains the current advanced international standards in astronomical instrumentation.
