From November 21 to 22, the fourth Forum of Young scientists of the Chinese Astronomical Society, sponsored by NIAOT, was held in Nanjing.

4 invitation reports and 21 oral reports around the theme of Astronomical Instruments and Technology were presented by participants.

Professor Zhu Yongtian(NIAOT), Professor Liu Weiwei, Director of the Institute of Modern Optics, Nankai University and Professor Sun Weimin, School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering of Harbin University of Engineering as well as Professor Wu Yumao of Zhejiang University gave special invitation reports entitled "ground large aperture optical / infrared astronomical telescopes and scientific detection technology ", "introduction on the phenomenon and Application of Ultra-fast Laser Filament" and "research on key Technology of Integrated Field of Optical Fiber with View element of 8064 " as well as "research on Beam Control Technology of Free-form Surface".
