Team of first light instruments of Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) visited NIAOT

From 13 to 14 June, 2019, Prof.James Larkin of University of California (UCLA) and Dr.Renate Kuke of Observatory of University of California (UCO) visited Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics & Technology (NIAOT).

They conducted investigation and discussion with Cooperation team of NIAOT on the design of first light instruments of Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) Project such as Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (IRIS) and Wide Field Optical Spectrometer (WFOS), including the global model of IRIS image slitter and microlens spectroscopy, technical documents, work plan for the next stage.

During visiting, Prof.James Larkin gave an report titled The Infrared Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) for TMT: Instrument Overviewmeanwhile Dr.Renate Kuke had a lecture titled TMTs Wide Field Optical Spectrograph.
