Dr. Anna Marie Moore from California Institute of Technology NIAOT

    Dr. Anna Marie Moore from California Institute of Technology (CIT or Caltech) visited Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics and Technology (NIAOT) and gave an academic presentation aboutThe Progress of the Infrared Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) for TMTin 5th of June, 2014. She mainly introduced the current situation of Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), which is one of the biggest international astronomical projects, and one of the three first-light science instruments, IRIS. Kai Zhang, an associate professor at NIAOT, join to IRIS group as an exchange visitor at Caltech, and his work also get IRIS groups approval. Prof. Yongtian Zhu, director of NIAOT, presided this meeting and expressed strong willingness for enhancing the collaboration with TMT project. 

    Dr. Anna Marie Moore is a research scientist and telescope instrument designer at Caltech, and Co-PI of IRIS project as well. She made great contribution to some astronomical instrumentation, including Antarctic Cosmic Web Imager, Gattini Cameras at Antarctica, Keck Cosmic Web Imager (KCWI) and so on.
