On the morning of 8 April 2012，when Du Fujia、Li Zhengyang and Zhang Yi from NIAOT as members of Chinese 28th Antarctic scientific expedition team return back to Shanghai in China，leaders from NIAOT received them in the port。

During Dome A，they have finished following tasks:

1): installation and commissioning for first one of AST3(AST3 including 3 Antarctic Survey Telescope)

2): installation and commissioning of PLATO-A(energy support platform) for AST3

3): bring back observation data for CSTAR etc

　 AST3 (Antarctic Survey Telescope) consists of three Schmidt telescope with schmidt plate aperture of 500mm and spheric mirror aperture of 680mm。

　The telescope equipped with 10k*10k ccd camera has function of remote-controlling，point tracking and auto-focusing。

　Science March，the telescope has been remote-controlled through satellite for trial observation。

AST3 will become pathfinder for construction of Chinese antarctic observatory and much larger aperture antarctic telescope，which will provide important experience for China to develop large aperture space telescope。
