On 6 January 2011,first high-resolution fibre spectrograph in China undertaken by NIAOT was succefully checked and accepted, which is attached to 1m telescope for Weihai observatory of Shangdong university。
The fibre spectrograph adopt a white pupil design with aperture of 92.5mm,which can cover a wavelength range of 375nm~1000nm、spectral resolution of 40000 to 60000 with once exposure。
Scientific objectives of the instrument listed as below:
1):measuring the stellar radial velocity
2):measurement for interplanetary parameters and chemical abundances with high-resolution and high signal to noise ratio
Result of signal to noise ratio better than 100 with one-hour exposure for stellar magnitude more than 8 can be obtained during trial observation。
