From 20 to 23 July 2009，Workshop of astronomical telescope and instrument between strait sponsored by NIAOT、Chinese astronomical union and Haining city government was held in Zhejiang province。230 representatives from 36 research units presented 85 academic reports as follows:
1）：underway and pre-research project for large astronomical telescope and instruments
2）：Antarctic astronomical instruments
3）：astronomical spectra and high-resolution imaging technology
4）：large format optical and infrared detectors
5）：astronomical mirror technology with large aperture and high precision
6）：astronomical observing method and data processing
7）：new astronomical technology and method
8）：precision tracking and control
Authorized by CAS and IAU，National Astronomical Observatories (NAOC) decided to name a small planet（number 19366）as “SuDingqiang-planet”。Leaders from CAS、NAOC、Nanjing University etc as well as more than 200 astronomers and astronomical instrument specialists attended naming ceremony。
