On April 20 2005，after inspection on the spot， specialists group organised by bureau of basic Science of CAS and National astronomical observatories listed their opinion about 3.6m annular polishing machine as following：

  'after trial run a plano mirror with aperture of 400mm and accuracy less than 1/100 wavelength（RMS）was manufactured by the machine。Together with 1.2m grinding mathine,a plano hexagonal submirrors with 1.1m in diagonal for Ma (Schmidt corrector of LAMOST) was successful to be manufactured by using annular polishing machine。It meets the requirement of design。'
