On November 2004，four submirrors of MB for LAMOST manufactured by Jsc Lzos were checked and accepted in Russia，which were safely delivered into NIAOT on 14 January 2005。

  Spherical primary mirror MB is 6.67mX6.05m with curvature radius of 40m。MB is composed of 37 hexagonal spherical submirrors，which is 1.1m in diagonal and 75mm in thickness。It is main difficult point that each submirror is not only required to reach high accuracy on optical surface but also high coincidence on curvature radius (namely，error of curvature radius for each submirror is less than 1/27000 compared with standard mirror)。

  Surface error for the first group of four submirrors which were checked and accepted this time are less than 15nm(RMS) by actual measurement。Error for curvature radius of submirror are less than 1mm(1/40000)compared with standared mirror。That entirely meets the requirements of LAMOST。

  37 submirrors of MB will complete manufacture before September 2006 according to contract。
