    Appraisal of 25 meter radio telescope for Nigeria undertaken by NIAOT has been passed through

        On May 27 2010, design appraisal of 25 meter radio telescope for Nigeri was held in Niaot。

       11 experts from Americal Radio Astronomy Observatory、Purple Mountain Observatory、Shanghai Astronomical Observatory、Urumqi Observatory、Nanjing University and Niaot gave an appraisal of the project。

       At the meeting, overall design was firstly introduced by Prof.Yang Dehua who is team leader of the project, then vice-professor Chen Yi and Liu Yi gave detailed report drive design and control design。

       These experts conducted a warmfull discussion and gave a positive affirmation for the overall design meanwhile  a lot of valuable opinion of improvements on preventing thunder, bearing processing etc was brought forward。

       The meeting marked end of design phase for the project, and a solid foundation has been laid for construction。

       Nigeria astronomers will use it to research deep space such as form of stellar and planet、blackhole、molecule cloud、phycical and chemical characteristic of celestial bodies of inner solar system。
