In September 2003,Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics & Technology reached intention agreement as follows with British Telescope Technologies Limited about design and manufacture of astronomical telescope as well as accessory instruments:

1):Under the TTL authorization，NIAOT is responsible for research and manufacture of overall 2-M class level astronomical telescope or process of optical system;

2):Under the TTL authorization，NIAOT is responsible for design and manufacture of overall 1-M class level astronomical telescope;

3):Accessory instruments，telescope component and related softwares compiling provided for TTL;

4):Jointly conduct academic research of astronomical technology and method.

　 Currently,joint bidding is underway for research and manufacture of ten 1-M class level telescope applied in space optical interferometer.
